Legal grounds
The ReRB service ("the service") aggregates and republishes information about legal entities and sole proprietors that has been lawfully disclosed by competent state authorities and statistical bodies. All material available through the catalogue originates exclusively from public registries, official gazettes, court bulletins and other open sources whose publication is required or authorised by applicable law. The service does not collect, store or distribute information that is classified as a state, commercial, banking, professional or any other secret protected by statute.
The lawfulness of collecting information from the internet rests on a well-established principle: data that a public authority has deliberately made accessible to an unlimited circle of persons loses the protection reserved for private or confidential material and may be consulted, indexed and re-used by anyone. This principle is reflected in freedom-of-information statutes, open-data and public-sector-information directives, and the settled case law of national and supranational courts across every jurisdiction we cover. Opening a page that a registrar has published without a login, paywall or technical restriction is not "hacking", "unauthorised access" or a circumvention of protective measures — it is the ordinary reading of a document that the state itself decided the public should see. We confine ourselves strictly to such openly published material, we do not defeat any authentication, encryption or access-control mechanism, and we honour the technical limits — rate limits, robots directives and the published terms — that each source sets for automated retrieval. Where a registry offers an official bulk-download, API or open-data endpoint, we prefer it to page-by-page collection precisely because the operator has expressly sanctioned re-use through that channel.
Because the catalogue is offered in several languages and consulted from many countries, we align our practices with the strictest applicable standard rather than the most permissive one. Corporate transparency is a recognised legitimate aim throughout the European Union, the Eurasian region and internationally: the beneficial-ownership, statistical and financial-disclosure regimes that oblige registries to publish this data exist precisely so that citizens, businesses and journalists can rely on it. Re-publishing the same data in a consolidated, searchable form serves the identical public interest and creates no new legal relationship between the data subject and the reader. Aggregation is not, in itself, a fresh act of disclosure: every fact shown here was already lawfully public at its source, and a user could in principle assemble it manually from the same registries one record at a time. Nothing in this notice constitutes legal advice, and users who intend to rely on the information for regulated purposes — credit decisions, employment screening, sanctions or anti-money-laundering checks, or litigation — remain responsible for ensuring that their own use complies with the sector-specific rules of their country.
By accessing the service you agree to use the information solely for lawful purposes — in particular, due-diligence checks of counterparties, anti-fraud measures, journalistic research, academic study and similar legitimate interests. The information may not be used to facilitate discrimination, harassment, stalking, identity theft, unsolicited marketing of illegal goods or services, or any other action prohibited by the law of your jurisdiction. The service is offered "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose: although we strive to refresh the data regularly, registry entries may contain delays, omissions or errors introduced upstream, and the user remains solely responsible for verifying critical facts in the original primary source before taking any decision based on them.
Personal data displayed in company profiles — such as the names of directors, founders or beneficial owners — is processed on the legal basis of legitimate interest in transparency of economic activity, in accordance with the principles of data minimisation and purpose limitation set out in the GDPR and equivalent national legislation. Where the applicable law grants a data subject the right to object, to obtain rectification, to restrict processing or to request erasure of information that is no longer accurate, the request can be sent to the contact address published in the footer of the website; we will assess every reasoned request individually and act within the statutory deadlines. We do not engage in automated decision-making producing legal effects on natural persons.
The service uses only essential technical cookies and aggregated, non-identifying usage analytics. No personal profiles of anonymous visitors are created, no behavioural advertising identifiers are set, and search queries submitted by unauthenticated users are not stored beyond what is strictly necessary to deliver the response. Any logs retained for security and abuse prevention are kept for the minimum period required by law and are protected by appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
All trademarks, logos and company names mentioned remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only; such use does not imply any endorsement of, or affiliation with, the service. Hyperlinks to external resources are provided for the user's convenience and the service bears no responsibility for the content, accuracy or availability of third-party websites.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the service disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the information published in the catalogue, including loss of profit, business interruption or reputational harm. These terms are governed by the law of the operator's place of registration, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that place. Continued use of the service after any update to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
